Reno's first and only women's flat track roller derby team, the
Battle Born Derby Demons, take on the Smog City Roller Grrls from Fresno in a bout on Saturday evening, July 26, at 7 p.m. Derby Demons home bouts are held at the City Plaza, between Reno City Hall and the Truckee River (site of Rink on the River in winter). If you haven't seen this action before, you're in for a treat - this stuff is fun to watch and you'll really get into cheering on the home team.
Adult tickets are $10, kids 6 to 12 are $5, and 5 and under are free. The gate opens at 6 p.m. and the bout starts at 7 p.m. This is a family-friendly event - bring lawn chairs and enjoy an exciting evening in downtown Reno. Learn more from the Battle Born Derby Demons website.

BBDD Rock. But did you know there are two Derby Teams in Reno? The Reno Roller Girls is a Banked Track league. We’ll be rockin the banked track as soon as we have a place to put it… Until then, we are working our rears off and skating flat to provide a good show. So, how can I let you know when those events will happen? We make sure that our events don’t occur at the same time as Battle Born, we aren’t in competition, we’re just different teams.
