You can register in person at Nevada DMV offices, university campuses, some social services agencies, and county clerk / registrar of voters offices. In Washoe County, go to Registrar of Voters, 1001 E. Ninth St., P.O. Box 11130, Reno, NV 89520-0027.
Registration deadlines are as follows: Primary Election: July 12, 2008, if you register to vote by mail. July 22, 2008, if you register to vote in person. General Election: October 4, 2008, if you register to vote by mail. October 14, 2008, if you register to vote in person.
Nevada provides for early voting; primary election early voting begins July 26, and general election early voting begins October 18. Voting is so important! Thanks for this timely reminder, Stan.
I’m wondering what the statistics are on how many people are planning to vote..
Ya know, that’s a good question. My gut feeling is that lots of people are going to vote, many for the first time and many who haven’t bothered for a while. The Nevada state government is a mess and so is the federal government, so interest is running high.
