In conjunction with Artown, the Historic Reno Preservation Society is offering a number of guided walks through various Reno historic districts. There will be both morning and evening tours, enabling most everyone to participate in a walk that fits their schedule. Walking tours are a fun way to slow down and learn more about the old buildings and neighborhoods that are an integral part of Reno's colorful history. For example, did you know Reno has a mansions district? Which prominent buildings were designed by Reno architect Frederick DeLongchamps? Take a historic walk to learn about these subjects and more. If you would rather ride than walk, sign up for the downtown Reno bike tour on Sunday, July 6.

The Historic Reno Preservation Society calendar has details about July's Reno walking tours. Walks are led by knowledgeable guides and are $10 per person, free for Society members. Reservations are required; RSVP by calling (775) 747-4478.
