Wondering what to do this summer? Reno Parks, Recreation & Community Services is here to help with their new Summer 2008 Activity Schedule booklet. Get information on summer camps, pool schedules, adult leagues and more. The online version is available for download in .pdf format. To save money, the schedule is not being mailed to Reno households as was done in the past, but a copy can be picked up at numerous park facilities around the city.

Cheap firewood will be available on Saturday June 7th from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the City of Reno’s Greenhouse, 190 Telegraph Street. It's mostly cottonwood, salvaged from the Oxbow Nature Study Area following a fire on April 27. No chainsaws required or allowed; the wood is cut and ready to load at $40 per cord and $20 per half-cord. Call Jeff or Steve at 334-2270 for more information.
