Stormy weather over Reno / Tahoe.

It's not often we set precipitation records here in the high desert, but we've got one this month. According to weather guy Mike Alger at KTVN channel 2, there have been seven days in a row of measurable rain (defined as at least .01 inch), setting the record for May. There could be more, but he says it's unlikely the all-time record of 12 straight days will be broken.
The cool, wet weather has put a bit of a damper on outdoor activities. It actually snowed up at Lake Tahoe over Memorial Day weekend, but a warming trend is on the way. The good news is that the stormy weather is helping with the water situation, always a plus out here in the desert.
