On Wednesday, May 28 at 6 p.m., the Reno City Council has scheduled a public hearing on the proposed Winnemucca Ranch development north of town. The meeting will be at Reno City Hall, 1 E. First St. The project is 30 miles from downtown and has generated considerable controversy. Among the concerns are that it is not contiguous to existing city boundaries, increased traffic on Pyramid Highway, water availability, and impact on wildlife habitat.
