Dusting of Reno snow on Tax Day 2008.

This year, April in Reno / Tahoe has swapped with March for "in like a lion, out like a lamb" status. Last weekend, it was in the 70s and sunny. I spent a couple of days hiking and
touristing around
Ft. Churchill State Park, then went up to Virginia City and strolled the wooden sidewalks with crowds of day-trippers. On Monday, a cold front climbed over the
mountains, bringing what the local weather guy called a "wind event" of 60+ mph gusts. It was pretty wild there for a while. This morning, I awoke to falling snow and temperatures about
30 degrees colder than a couple of days ago. The forecast is for a return to the balmy 70s by week's end. There's nothing boring about Reno / Tahoe weather.
